“Polymers and circular economy” with attention to the PFAS issue and the development of new compounds based on alternative “green” elastomers, this is the focus of Gitis with which it joined the project promoted by Confindustria Lombardia, Legami CoValenti “From school to business and back”.
The first two meetings took place at the Natta Institute in Bergamo with the 3rd BBA class (Environmental Biotechnology), a third meeting in the laboratory of our company and the last one took place on Saturday 15 March, this year’s course of these students ended with the company visit to our plants.
There was also a final event of the initiative which was held on May 29, 2025 at the Sestini ISIS Natta Auditorium in relation to this project. During the final speech, it was reiterated how fundamental it is to combine technical development, environmental sustainability and social responsibility, with a particular focus on the search for innovative and PFAS-free materials.
This project proved to be an important opportunity to bring young people closer to the value of experience, the growth of their skills and the conscious construction of their future. Throughout the course, the students showed great participation and enthusiasm, and Gitis is deeply proud to accompany them in the development of skills that will help them enter the world of work with greater confidence, in close connection with our territory.
