Rubber Moulded Components

Advanced Design of Sealing Systems

Rubber moulded components are highly specialized sealing systems, typically based on individual design studies as an outcome of our R&D team, often in close collaboration with our customers’ engineers.
Sealing technology requires specific material and application know-how, combined with creativity and a solid level of experience.
Hence, such sealing systems are unique solutions, combining easy assembly and excellent sealing properties, even in harsh and long-lasting operating conditions.

Simulation methods

GITIS is using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to prove and validate the above-mentioned features, simulating operating conditions and seal behavior to predict potential failure modes.
This approach allows precise calculation of assembly forces, seal displacement, contact pressure and overall sealing performance.

The use of CAD/CAM tools, in-house mold design and prototyping, combined with close cooperation between engineering and technology, provides an integrated platform for developing optimal solutions in terms of functional design and application performance.

Products & Technology

From the very beginning, GITIS has focused on developing products based on specific technologies to offer the best solution for any kind of sealing application.

Our products are known for their quality and performance: O-rings, rubber gaskets and 2K/3K co-moulded parts in high performance materials such as AEM/ACM, HNBR, FKM, FFKM, EPDM and silicone (FVMQ, VMQ), are used in sectors where high and constant performance over time is required.

Quality, performance, productivity and process innovation are the foundation of our competitiveness and growth potential in the most demanding markets. Equally fundamental is the relationship that the company creates with polymer and compound manufacturers and with customers, ensuring an exchange of information and knowledge based on transparency.

Rubber compounds are made up of polymer, fillers and chemical and plasticizing agents (processing aids, cross-linked agents, anti-aging agents, etc.).

The polymer used with a specific formulation determines the basic properties of the elastomer: temperature range and chemical resistance.

Fillers improve the mechanical properties of elastomers such as hardness, resistance to abrasion and elongation, setting and aging behaviour. Through an irreversible cross-linking with large meshes, also known as vulcanization, the compounds become elastomers that behave in an entropic-elastic way in the range of the temperature of use.

Our product portfolio meets all customer demands and requirements both in terms of temperature range and physical and chemical properties, also in the most recent new applications in our strategic market segments.
